MULBERRY AW10/11 PRESS DAY

London Fashion Week is over, so, now is the time for press days. The press day invites kicked off firstly with Mulberry, if you read my blog regularly you'll know how much I j'adore Mulberry. Getting to see the clothes up front was amazing and I have to say, I spotted a few goodies I know I will want once they are out.

Mulberry's colour pallet for this season was quite prominant and something that I truly loved; The three main colour trends were nude, black and purple. I'm very pleased to see how Emma Hill has raised the game with the ready-to-wear for Mulberry and I think it's time Mulberry has kind of stepped away from its 'just accessories' image. The ready-to-wear collection is very feminine with its tailoring. I saw a lot of frills, gems and fur this season, and I can't really complain! Mulberry totally has it in the bag.

I spotted two things which really stood out for me. The nude hooded coat, and also, the mens canvas backpack with leather trims. It was totally j'adorable and now I am almost lusting over the Mulberry backpack more than the Alexa, dare I say! It's gorgeous. Backpacks have become increasingly fashionable lately, Both Givenchy and Alexander Wang have also started to follow the fash pack with the backpack trend!

Mulberry gone vintage? J'adore!

My new love! The Mulberry backpack!

This is really cute, the heart on the sweater is actually a pocket!

Loving a bit of Rabbit fur

This piece is clever. The brooch on the top is actually knotted so you can wear it as a bracelet or necklace if you want!

MULBERRY GOES TO ASIA

The ultimate British brand, Mulberry, took over Hong Kong this month with their spectacular event which lured in Hong Kong's biggest celebrities, socialites and magazines. I feel Mulberry doesn't get much credit internationally than it should do. Its quirky, girly yet feminine designs totally overshadow the likes of fellow British brands such as Burberry or Anya Hindmarch.

I'm so happy for the fact that Mulberry has achieved so much in such a small space of time and it's probably the fastest growing fashion house within the UK, if not Europe. Every time I think of not only Mulberry bags but their belts, wallets and even clothes it gives me a warm and fuzzy feeling down my spine. The quality of the leather, stitching and even customer service Mulberry provide is totally orgasmic! Not to forget their PR team, it's probably one of the best PR teams I have ever had to deal with. Vanessa Lunt, Communications Director, at Mulberry has brought the company from looking like a dead and old British countryside brand to a brand that is far too hot to touch!

TOTALLY CHUNG OVER OVERSIZED ALEXA

I want it, I need it, I just have to have it.

That is what I have been telling myself every day, every hour and every second that I just NEED the oversized Alexa bag. It's like a drug I need to inject myself with. Words cannot describe the pain that goes through me every time I visit a Mulberry store to touch this bag and having to put it back on display.

Earlier today I was discussing with my friend Joey how much I really really REALLY need this bag in my life and all he could answer back was "it's just a bag". Yes it is a bag, but it is not ONLY a bag... it is a necessity, a lifestyle and a product that would be just as precious to me as the bible would be to the pope! I don't care what colour, print or leather I get the Alexa in, I just need to have it.

Just as we thought the 'it' bag phenomenon had died, Mulberry's Creative Director Emma Hill executed the Alexa. It has got to a point in my life where I have actually put a picture of the bag on my wall so I can look at it every day and dream that one day I will own this bag. Why do I have to be a student? Why can't I just own a share in Mulberry? Why can't I have a rich partner? Or even better, why can't someone just buy me one or let me borrow one for a day?

Alexa, there will come a time in my life when I will be able to own you! I don't know when, I don't know how, but there will come a time that you will be on my arm at some point in my life, I promise.

LFW: MULBERRY-LION IN THE JUNGLE

This quintessential British brand, Mulberry, has just gone and done it again; Totally blown me away! The jungle theme went really well with the soundtrack on the runway which was derived from The Jungle Book. Also, the models looked immaculate with big lion-esque hair and very simple and relaxed makeup.

The collection in itself was an entire success, quite possibly one of Mulberry's most strongest collections. The print, detail and fabric was just so put together that at times I had to take a minute to digest everything! The palette of grey, black, nude and blue's were just a feast to the eyes and as the show was styled by Edward Enninful (who any fashion freak would recognise from The September Issue) you'd know Mulberry mean't serious business this season.

Here are some pictures of pieces which really stood out for me...

But it was this ostrich skin clutch that really got me. It just looks ridiculously stunning and I want to own one just for the sake of owning one!

Then it was onto the Mulberry after party in the evening. I met a couple of other fashion bloggers whilst I was killing time at Somerset House and oh my, I'm just sitting here and still asking myself the question, where the shitting hell have they been all my life??? Rena from Handbags & Faghags and Carrie from WishWishWish seemed to have been my two Mulberry party buddies for the night. Also met probably THE most amazing fashion assistant and stylist that has ever come out of London, Olivia Pim. Olivia was absolutely beautiful and you can see a picture of her and fabulous shoes below. Overall it was an amazing night, lots of laughter, cocktails and celebs such as Rachel Stevens, Alexa Chung, Olivia Palermo and the vile Pixie Geldof also turned up! Including a live performance by Delphic.

Meeting Olivia Palermo was probably the highlight of my entire 21 years existence! I'm just going to let all the pictures do the talking so you can see for yourself what an amazing night this actually was!

MULBERRY GOES CHUNG OVER ALEXA!

Mulberry have gone and done it again, they have defied the recession and when we all thought that the "it" bag was totally dead, they go and create THE bag of 2010! Inspired & named after British Style icon, Alexa Chung. The Alexa bag is something every women needs to have to add to her collection! Especially if you already own a Bayswater!

What I love about the Alexa is the proportion and size of the bag. It's great for taking shopping and even to work, if you want to look like the update-to-date fashionista in the office it's definitely something we NEED not want but NEED! Mulberry didn't stop there though, they leave you spoilt for choice as to complete the Alexa family, they have also created the oversized Alexa and the Alexa clutch!

It will be in stores oh the 11th Jan and it comes in loads of different colour! Classic Mulberry oak, ink blue & butter, with brass hardware and also in a stand out, fuzzy, smudgy, shiny leopard and many more!

So put 11th January into your diaries girls!!!

MULBERRY BAGS FOR APPLE PRODUCTS

When Mulberry unveiled a collection of accessories designed for Apple products I must admit, I nearly wet myself with excitement. Being an Apple user myself, I do not want a Mulberry sleeve for my precious Mac, I NEED a Mulberry sleeve! Every time I look at the gorgeous exterior of the beautifully made case I don't know what happens. I can just smell the leather just by looking at pictures of it and only dream of owning one. But I know for a fact come Xmas my dream will be a reality!

Like many of us, Im sure everyone out there dreams of owning a Mulberry bag. I don't mind spending money on a quality product that I know such time and care has gone into making the product, its an accessory that you could even pass on to your grandchildren! Even my own mother still has her Mulberry bag beautifully intact after 18 years!

Mulberry made the bags to fit Apple products and oh my do they fit well! I can find no fault whatsoever in them. I've shopped around and found a Marc Jacobs laptop sleeve but that has nothing on the Mulberry one. So one thing is for sure my laptop will no longer be a naked one, its going to travel in style just like I do!

You can buy you're Mulberry Macbook sleeve from either Mulberry.com or www.store.apple.com/uk

Totally J'adorable!
