Luella Stops Trading

As I was walking to university I caught a glimpse of the headline on the Evening Standard board "Luella Stops Trading". Initial reaction was OMFG! So when I read the article and found out Club 21 owner Christina Ong who also owns British brand Mulberry has turned her back from Luella it crippled my heart.

A sad sad sad day in British fashion indeed. I just hope Luella Bartley finds a new investor soon! I know if I had millions I wouldn't think twice! So any multi-millionaire reading this... GET YOUR FUCKING CASH OUT AND CALL LUELLA NOW!

Madonna: The Face of Dolce & Gabbana

First it's Louis Vuitton and now Dolce & Gabbana have recruited the music industry's very own pop diva, Madonna. 

I nearly died when my blackberry vibrated because of my on going Twitter alerts, only to read a tweet from Stefano Gabbana. "On the shooting with Domenico...... We are at the last shot...... M (Madonna) is simply beautiful... We're very, very tired but very happy as well.... To have Madonna in our campaign is a dream come true."

To be quite honest, I feel very nervous about this one (I didn't really like the LV ad campaigns) so I really really hope she can pull this one off...

J'adore de Koma

First it was Cheryl Cole strutting down the X Factor stage in one of recent CSM graduate David Koma's dress but now the celebrity circuit have taken his collection internationally as diva princess Beyonce wore a dress from the same collection at MTV's Europe Music Awards.

When Cole wore "that" dress, the fashion journals across Britain went steroid crazy in excitement but now I am sure department stores all across the world will be calling in orders from young Koma. The short mini dress with metal tubing is just worthy to scream out loud for, any woman carrying off a dress like that is a super stylista in my book!

Koma, a Harrods Design Award winner and Vauxhall Fashion Scout Merit Award winner, he showed his S/S10 collection at LFW but is totally blown away by the response he has had for his A/W10 collection (chosen by Cheryl & Beyonce)... I think we all will be looking forward to what he has to offer!

Henry Holland, Designer or Douche-bag?

I personally think Henry Holland isn't really a great designer. He, for me, epitomises what is wrong with the fashion industry today... But I will have to let you judge that for yourself...

How To Be Adored...

Ever wanted to look and feel like Marilyn Monroe or Grace Kelly? Want to walk down the street and have people look at you and whisper "god that woman is G.L.A.M.O.R.O.U.S." then I really really REALLY recommend that you read this book.

Today I slightly wet myself when I was in the presence of the world renowned fashion historian Caroline Cox, her witty personality, uncontrollable laughter and relaxed dress sense just grabbed my attention and maybe even made me wish I could have babies with her! That woman knew what she was talking about and I really could not believe I was sitting in class listening to her talk about her new book.

Even though it is targeted towards women, I couldn't help but feel very inspired by the words in this book. I loved the quote at the back "There is no such thing as an ugly woman. There are only those who have not realized their true beauty." It really hit home how many women there are out there who have such low self- esteem. If you're big, you should remember you're still beautiful and the book even tells you that "big women can still buy designers" and she even lists a whole list of designers who cater for that clientele. Also, what was amazing about this book was that it goes through all different body shapes and what you can and can't wear! Its a gem...

... I have to agree that this is the new style bible and the best thing is, it is so easy to read and digest and it talks to you, not at you. Style guru's such as Gok Wan and Trinny & Susannah have nothing on Cox especially when she so modestly admitted today, "I am not a style guru". Which to a certain extent maybe true as this book is more of an insight into the secrets of the most glamorous ladies who have existed and still exist from Audrey Hepburn right through to Beyonce.

So ladies if you want to look good, feel good and feel like REAL woman, I highly suggest you get this book! PLUS she signed the book for me too!
